As part of the Northwest Climate Change Action Plan, the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) is offering Small to Medium sized enterprises (SMEs) the chance to access a £2 million of Grant funding to develop and demonstrate innovative technologies that reduce carbon emissions.
Working alongside Envirolink Northwest, the Grant funds for carbon reduction technologies will be available to companies working in a number of categories including waste treatment and recycling, water pollution, air pollution, land remediation and energy generation and efficiency.
Funding has been made available through the Northwest Regional Development Agency's (NWDA) and European Regional Development Fund's (ERDF) Grant for Research and Development.
Grant for Research and Development, is part of Solutions for Business, the Government's package of publicly funded business support designed to help companies start and grow. It helps entrepreneurs and business owners introduce innovative products and processes, including research trials and product testing.
Grant funding between £20,000 and £250,000 for up to 40% of the project costs is available for SMEs to invest in the carbon reducing projects

The Carbon Reduction Demonstrator Awards will allow SMEs to innovatively develop carbon reducing technologies and be the first key players within this increasingly important sector.
