This year's British Business Angel Association (BBAA) two day Conference and Awards will take place in England's Northwest.
Supported by the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) the BBAA Conference and Awards will commence on Tuesday 13th July with the Awards Ceremony, welcoming almost 200 guests, including early stage investors, fund managers and small business owners.
The event will continue with the BBAA Annual Conference the following day, opened by NWDA Chair, Robert Hough and led by expert speakers and panellists.
The Conference will encourage investment in early stage businesses, with industry experts discussing trends and innovations, in particular clean tech, digital media and healthcare.
There will be opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing, allowing business owners to create an interest for potential investors.
Robert, Hough, Chairman, NWDA said:
"I am delighted to welcome guests to this year's British Business Angels Conference to England's Northwest - the UK's largest regional economy with over 250,000 businesses.
"For over 10 years the NWDA has worked hard to ensure regional businesses have been able to grow, recognising that access to the right type of business finance is essential, especially in light of the current economic and political climate.
"Business Angels are an essential element to the business finance mix, providing expert advice and experienced guidance that grants and loans cannot buy. This, together with the £185 million North West Fund, which will go live this summer, will ensure Northwest businesses are able to continue to grow and develop the regional economy."
The NWDA is playing a crucial role in response to the current economic downturn, with a number of actions being taken to meet the needs of businesses during these challenging times.
